Returns & refunds

For a cancellation, return or faulty item, email jonathan.dcosta@ecolayerlabs.com. Include your order reference if available. You do not need an account.

Changed your mind?

For a standard product bought online, tell us you want to cancel within 14 days of receiving it. You then have a further 14 days to return it. A standard JDC Duo is made to order; that alone does not remove your cancellation rights.

A clear email or letter is enough to cancel; no reason or approval is required. You may use the optional cancellation notice below. Send returns to the address in Company details, unless we agree another destination with you. Please contact us for packing and postage guidance. You pay the direct return-postage cost for a change-of-mind return.

For an eligible cancellation, we refund the price and standard outward delivery charge to your original payment method, without a refund fee. We may wait until we receive the goods or evidence you have sent them back, then refund within 14 days. We may deduct for handling beyond what is needed to check the product.

Faulty, damaged or different from its description?

Contact us for the appropriate refund, repair or replacement under your statutory rights. We cover reasonable return costs for faulty or misdescribed goods.

Custom printing

A genuinely personalised or custom-made part may be exempt from change-of-mind cancellation. We explain any applicable exception in your reviewed quote before payment. This does not affect your rights for faulty or misdescribed goods.

Privacy

Accounts

If you create an account, we store your name, sign-in email, creation date, protected password and recovery-code hashes, and session details to provide the account you requested. For password recovery, we also store protected reset-link records and request limits. Reset links expire after 30 minutes and work once. Email ownership is not verified at registration; entering an email does not give access to previous guest orders.

Your account shows purchases made while signed in after their payments have been confirmed. You can change your password or delete the account from your account page. Deleting removes your sign-in details and account order list; separate payment and order records may still be needed to fulfil an order or meet legal obligations.

Orders, support and security

Stripe handles payment, contact and shipping information at secure checkout. We keep the paid order reference, totals, items and contact/shipping details needed for fulfilment and support. Full card numbers are handled by Stripe. We share delivery details with the delivery provider when needed.

We process account and order information to perform our contract with you, and financial records to meet legal obligations. We use support messages and limited security records, including hashed network identifiers and sign-in attempt counts, for our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and protecting the service.

The STL preview processes your file in your browser; selecting a file does not upload it. If you email a file or enquiry, we receive what you send and use it to respond or review your request.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts the storefront and stores account and order records. Stripe processes payments. Resend sends requested password-reset emails and receives your email address and message content, including the expiring reset link. Its Free plan retains email and log data for 30 days, with stored data held in the United States. These providers may process information outside the UK; their notices explain their processing and international-transfer safeguards: Cloudflare, Stripe and Resend. Retention and your rights

Account details and the account order list remain until you delete the account. Sessions stop authorising access after seven days or on sign-out. Separate payment and order records remain where needed for fulfilment, refunds, disputes and legal record-keeping. Financial records must normally be kept for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, and sometimes longer. Support and security retention depends on unresolved enquiries, abuse investigations and any applicable legal obligations; deleting an account does not erase those separate records.

Email us to request access, correction or deletion. Depending on the circumstances, you may also request restriction or transfer of your information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. We do not use your information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

03 / ON YOUR DEVICE

Cookies & storage

Local browser storage remembers the products and quantities in your cart on that device. Clearing site data removes it. When you sign in, an essential cookie keeps your account session for up to seven days; signing out removes it. Security checks use session and rate-limit records to protect account actions.

This storefront does not add advertising or analytics tracking. Stripe may use its own storage during checkout; see Stripe’s privacy information.

Purchase terms

Check product compatibility and contents, add it to your cart and review quantities, prices and delivery. You can correct your cart before payment. Stripe’s secure checkout collects your contact and shipping details, shows the final total and confirms the payment methods available. Placing the paid order creates an obligation to pay. Guest checkout is available. Checkout is in English and prices are in pounds sterling.

JDC Duo costs £17.99 per pair plus £1.99 UK delivery per order, before any discount. The displayed price is the amount payable; no VAT is added. It is made to order, with dispatch within 2–3 working days; carrier transit is additional. We deliver within 30 days of the order unless a different date is agreed with you. If an order is delayed, contact us to agree the next step or exercise your statutory rights. Current contents, compatibility and limitations are on the product page. A custom print requires a reviewed quote and agreed terms before payment.

The payment-confirmation page shows the status and reference for your checkout. Confirmed purchases made while signed in also appear in your account. A payment confirmation is separate from dispatch. Contact us by email with your reference for order help or a complaint. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
